LIFE: Mad Crush x BET x Soul Train Winners of the NAMIC EMMA Award!!
This past week, BET and Mad Crush Sport and Entertainment Agency recently earned a 2013 Excellence in Multicultural Marketing Awards (EMMA) from the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) for placing first in the Experiential Marketing category with their “Soul Train Flash Mobs” campaign. Held at the Marriott Marquis in New York, NY, the NAMIC EMMA recognizes the top marketing tactics and case studies targeted to multicultural audiences. Checkout the pictures from the event.
Last year, BET and Mad Crush organized 5 flash mobs across the country to promote the 2012 Soul Train Awards. The flash mobs were comprised of 20 to 40 dancers outfitted in funky and colorful outfits that span several decades. The “surprise” choreographed number incorporated popular dances from the 70s, 80s, 90s to present day. Dancers danced to the official Soul Train show music and a mash-up of popular R&B hits that expanded 5 decades.
